Producer and actor Joe Rosati is fast becoming one of the entertainment industry talents to keep an eye on. Rosati can be seen in the feature film “A Perfect Life“, which was shot entirely in Rosati’s hometown of Tacoma, Washington. Rosati also produced the film along with Chad Ruin and Scott Stone, and also composed the music for the film with Ruin and Rich Bundy. “A Perfect Life” won a gold medal for original score at Park City Film Music Festival and received worldwide distribution.
“A Perfect Life” tells the story of Brian (Joe Rosati), an idealistic young man who craves the “perfect life” and at first seems to have achieved it – a loving wife, a beautiful baby daughter, a great job, a house complete with white picket fence and two-car garage, a family dog – the ingredients for an American Dream realized. Still not satisfied with what he’s got, he falls for the lure of “the grass is always greener” and it becomes his downfall. Joe Rosati’s performance in the film is brilliant and captivating, and is a huge reason “A Perfect Life” was nominated for both best feature film and audience choice award at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival.
Now based in Los Angeles, Joe Rosati has become a member of the Whitefire Theatre Group in Los Angeles, and will be performing in the play “Meshugeneh, The Musical”, which begins it’s run on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Whitefire Theater in Sherman Oaks, CA. The family satire centers on 30-year old piano playing stoner Frankie Leftov (Rosati) who hits the wall and is forced to confront the demons that have haunted him since he was old enough to disappoint everyone in his sorry life. His ailing mother talks Frankie into a getting a job at a supper club owned by his stalker girlfriend’s father. Aided by the family ghost and his new dynamo diva of a music partner, Frankie solves the mystery of his twisted legacy while celebrating those hilarious and touching moments only one can share as a Jewish social outcast. If Joe Rosati’s performance in “Meshugeneh, The Musical” is anywhere near the brilliance of his “A Perfect Life” role, audiences are in for a real treat.
Previous credits for Joe Rosati include the New Empire Productions comedy film “Limbo”, the Voltage Pictures crime thriller “Border Run”, the short film “It Don’t Rain on Sunny Days“, and the Main Street Movie Company feature film “Boys at the Bar” (Casting Coordinator, Producer). Rosati recently produced, wrote, and starred in the film “Jack: A Short Film”.
“Meshugeneh, The Musical” will perform Saturday nights only at 8:00pm through July 30, 2016.
