The feature film “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda” will begin shooting on March 6th in Atlanta, GA and casting is now underway. The current casting needs are posted below. “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda” centers on 17-year-old Simon Spier, who hasn’t told anyone he’s gay, and the secret is starting to weigh on him. He becomes involved in a heartfelt exchange of emails with another gay young man whom he knows only as Blue, and over time he feels that he’s really found his soulmate. When the school clown, Martin, discovers the emails and threatens to expose Simon unless he helps him win over Abby, the girl Simon’s best friend Nick is crushing on, Simon finds himself in a terrible web of deceit and lies until finally, against his will, he’s outed, and has to deal with a brand new reality.

Starring in “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda” is Young Entertainer Awards nominee Nick Robinson playing the role of Simon Spier, Teen Choice Awards nominee Alexandra Shipp as Abby Suso, and Logan Miller as Martin Addison. Also joining the cast are Katherine Langford as Leah Burke, and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Nick Eisner. Primetime Emmy Award nominee Greg Berlanti is directing from an adapted screenplay written by Writers Guild of America WGA Award nominees Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Producers are Marty Bowen, Black Reel Awards nominee Wyck Godfrey, BAFTA Film Award nominee Isaac Klausner, and Pouya Shahbazian. Executive producer is Black Reel Awards nominee Timothy M. Bourne.
