Casting call for lead roles in ‘West Side Story’ directed by Steven Spielberg


Three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg is now in pre-production on the feature film “West Side Story,” a remake of the 1961 film about rival gangs in New York City. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director Cindy Tolan is accepting email submissions from talent to be considered for lead roles in the film.

Spielberg will direct the musical froman adapted screenplay written by two-time Academy Award nominee Tony Kushner. Producers are two-time Academy Award nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger, Kevin McCollum, and Alliance of Women Film Journalists EDA Female Focus Award nominee Stacey Snider.
