Jeff Willms finds passion as both firefighter and actor

Jeff Willms, who is a full-time firefighter in the Vancouver, British Columbia area, is also a very talented actor who is now actively pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Willms caught the acting bug when he was in the right place at the right time in the 1980’s when the 20th Century Fox Television series “21 Jump Street” was filming in Vancouver, where Willms grew up. The show, which starred three-time Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp, offered Willms the opportunity to appear on the show playing a small role as a punter kid on the streets in one of the first episodes.

Jeff Willms continued his love of acting by taking drama classes and doing plays throughout high school. After graduation, Willms took time away from the pursuit of an acting career to raise a family. Eventually, he found the passion again when the Paramount Pictures comedy feature film “Hotrod” was filming in the neighborhood where Willms lived. The film starred Golden Globe Award winner Andy Samberg, Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Isla Fisher, and Academy Award winner Sissy Spacek. Willms was cast to play a small cameo role in the film. Willms’ additional credits include the Showtime Networks TV movie “A Storm in Summer” directed by four-time Academy Award winner Robert Wise, and the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment movie “Dr. Dolittle 3”, among others.
