Open casting call scheduled for “Daddy’s Home 2”

The comedy feature film “Daddy’s Home 2” will begin shooting on March 20, 2017 in Boston, MA and there is an in-person open casting call scheduled for Saturday, March 4th. The producers are looking to hire a large number of extras, and people from ages 7 – 90 are welcome to attend. There is no experience necessary, and the positions are paid. Speaking roles are also being cast through auditions in Los Angeles. Film crew members can submit resumes to the production office email address posted below. Filming will run through May 24, 2017.

“Daddy’s Home 2” is the sequel to the 2015 film “Daddy’s Home,” which has grossed over $240 million worldwide. Returning to reprise their roles are two-time Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg, and two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Will Ferrell. Joining the cast for “Daddy’s Home 2” are two-time Academy Award winner Mel Gibson, and two-time Academy Award winner John Lithgow. This time around, father and stepfather, Dusty (Wahlberg) and Brad (Ferrell), are now working together to give their kids a perfect Christmas. When Dusty’s Dad (Gibson) and Brad’s Dad (Lithgow) arrive, their blended family conflicts rise to the surface.

Sean Anders is directing “Daddy’s Home 2” from a screenplay that he wrote with John Morris. Will Ferrell is producing along with Adam McKay and Kevin Messick. “Daddy’s Home 2” is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on November 10, 2017.
