Mayhem Pictures and IF Entertainment are currently in pre-production on the upcoming major young adult fantasy romance feature film “Fallen”, based on the immensely popular best-selling novel series by Lauren Kate. The film, originally set up at Disney, is now casting actors who can play high school age for the films starring roles of Luce, Daniel, and Cam among others. Co-starring roles are also being cast. “Fallen” is being touted by fans as being the next Twilight Saga caliber film series. There are four books in the series – Fallen, Torment, Passion, and Rapture. Shooting gets underway in September, 2013.

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce, and goes out of his way to make that very clear, she can’t let it go. But Luce has another love interest named Cam, and unlike Daniel he continuously tries to charm her. There is something dark about Cam. Drawn to Daniel like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what both Daniel and Cam are keeping a secret, even if it kills her.

Two-time Academy Award nominated Australian filmmaker Scott Hicks will direct “Fallen” from an adapted screenplay written by Daytime Emmy Award nominees Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard. Hicks earned his Oscar nominations for the 1996 feature film biopic “Shine”. Other films directed by Hicks include “Hearts in Atlantis” starring Anthony Hopkins, “No Reservations” starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Abigail Breslin, and “The Lucky One” starring Zac Efron. He is also a highly accomplished television commercial director. Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard previously teamed to write the screenplay for the Walt Disney Pictures feature film “The Game Plan” which starred Dwayne Johnson.

Mayhem Pictures’ Gordon Gray and Mark Ciardi will produce “Fallen”. Other films produced by Mayhem include “Invincible,” “The Game Plan,” “Tooth Fairy,” and “Secretariat”. They are also producing the currently filming Disney movie “Million Dollar Arm”. Bill Johnson will also produce. Jim Seibel will serve as executive producer. Seibel’s previous exec producing credits include “The Lazarus Project” starring Paul Walker and Linda Cardellini, “The Grey” starring Liam Neeson, “Killing Them Softly” starring Brad Pitt, “Jobs” starring Ashton Kutcher, and “The Host” starring Saoirse Ronan. Seibel is also currently executive producing “Song One” starring Anne Hathaway and Mary Steenburgen.
