Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures are gearing up to begin filming the upcoming reboot Paramount Pictures sci-fi action-adventure thriller feature film “Terminator: Genesis” in January, 2014. The Casting Society of America Artios award winning casting director is now on the search for actors to play lead and supporting roles. This will be the first film in a new stand-alone trilogy. Extras casting calls will be posted on this website. Film crew member submission details are now posted below.

Reports have Golden Globe Award winner Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a human character in the film who has close connections to the Connor family, and whose likeness would have been later used by the machines to mold the appearance of the T-800s. However this contradicts Schwarzenegger’s statement, “In fact, I’m very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January”. Schwarzenegger has been busy as of late with three films in post production – “Maggie” with Abigail Breslin, “Sabotage” starring opposite Terrence Howard and Sam Worthington, and “The Expendables 3”. Primetime Emmy Award nominee Emilia Clarke has been cast to play Sarah Connor.

Primetime Emmy Award winner Alan Taylor will direct Terminator from an original screenplay written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier based on characters by James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd. Taylor confirmed he would be selected by the studio to direct Terminator on November 6, 2013 when he spoke at Franklin & Marshall College’s Department of Theatre, Dance & Film. Taylor garnered his Emmy Award for executive producing the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones”. He has also directed episodes of the show. Taylor most recently directed the Marvel Entertainment feature film “Thor: The Dark World”. The casting of Emilia Clark was due to Alan Taylor’s working relationship with her.

Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake will executive produce for Skydance Productions. Skydance is based at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, California and co-produces and co-finances films with Paramount. Credits include “True Grit,” “Jack Reacher”, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” and “World War Z”. David Ellison will produce for Skydance. Also producing is Academy Award nominee Megan Ellison for Annapurna Pictures. Ellison earned her Oscar nod for producing “Zero Dark Thirty”. She most recently produced the upcoming feature films “American Hustle” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale, and “Foxcatcher” starring Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo. Paramount Pictures will handle domestic distribution for Terminator, scheduled to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
