Paramount Network casting supporting roles for ‘Yellowstone’

The Paramount Network is casting supporting roles for the new television series “Yellowstone”.

“Yellowstone” is the name of the new series, which is the first original scripted series greenlighted by the new Paramount Network. The casting directors are currently seeking Native American talent to portray several supporting roles. Shooting is taking place in Utah beginning in mid-August, 2017 and running through December 14, 2017. There will be additional shooting in Montana. Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan is writer and director on the project. Sheridan will also executive produce along with two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, Art Linson, and John Linson. Production Companies are Linson Entertainment and The Weinstein Company.

“Yellowstone” is a sweeping, cinematic family drama that follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders — land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny, where land grabs make developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world’s largest oil and lumber corporations. Where drinking water poisoned by fracking wells and unsolved murders are not news: they are a consequence of living in the new frontier. It is the best and worst of America seen through the eyes of a family that represents both.

Starring in “Yellowstone” is two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the family’s patriarch who leads the charge in preserving his family’s holdings and way of life; British Independent Film Awards nominee Kelly Reilly as John’s daughter Beth Dutton, a smart and powerful woman who is always prepared to fight alongside her father; BAFTA Film Award nominee Wes Bentley as John’s son Jamie Dutton, a polished lawyer considering a career in politics who continues to seek approval from his father despite his love for the limelight; Luke Grimes as John Dutton’s youngest son Cory, an emotionally reserved former Navy SEAL who lives with his Native American wife and seven-year-old son on a reservation; Kelsey Asbille as Monica, the Native American wife of Cory Dutton; and Young Hollywood Awards winner Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, a tough and merciless wrangler from Yellowstone Ranch who will stop at nothing to get the job done.

“Yellowstone” is a 10-episode series that will premiere on the Paramount Network in Summer, 2018.
