Paramount Pictures feature film ‘Transformers Universe: Bumblebee’ casting day players and extras

The Paramount Pictures feature film ‘Transformers Universe: Bumblebee’ is currently casting new day player speaking roles and extras.

Filming is set to get underway on the Paramount Pictures feature film “Transformers Universe: Bumblebee” in Los Angeles and also in Northern California on July 31, 2017. The casting directors are auditioning talent for new speaking roles, and casting calls for extras are set to begin. Current casting and auditions information is being posted below. This project is being produced under the working title of “Brighton Falls”. “Bumblebee” will shoot entirely in California due to a $22-million tax credit. This is the largest tax break awarded to date under a California program aimed at reversing runaway film production.

This 6th movie in the live-action “Transformers” film series is a spinoff which follows Bumblebee, one of Optimus Prime’s most trusted lieutenants. Set in the 1980s, it will feature considerably fewer Transformers, concentrating on the big, yellow star (who in the movies so far can only talk via snippets of radio broadcasts). Starring in “Transformers Universe: Bumblebee” is Academy Award nominee Hailee Steinfeld, playing a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school. Also joining the cast in a lead role is Jorge Lendeborg Jr., who recently starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Travis Knight is directing “Transformers Universe: Bumblebee” from an original screenplay written by Christina Hodson, with earlier drafts written by Matt Holloway, Art Marcum, and Ken Nolan. Producers are Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay, Daytime Emmy Award winner Stephen Davis, and Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Nebula Award nominee Tom DeSanto. Also producing is Christina Hodson and Brian Goldner. Three-time Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg will executive produce along with Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman and Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

“Bumblebee” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 8, 2018.
