The Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures superhero feature film sequel “Ant-Man and the Wasp” is holding auditions for new supporting roles.
Sarah Finn, who is a Black Reel Awards winner and Casting Society of America ARTIOS Award winner, is the principal actor casting director for “Ant-Man and the Wasp”. Finn is auditioning talent through talent agencies in Los Angeles, CA. Finn has cast a number of Marvel Studios feature films such as the currently shooting projects “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Black Panther”, and “Thor: Ragnarok”. Past Marvel Studios credits for Finn include “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”, “Doctor Strange”, “Captain America: Civil War”, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, among many others.
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” will center on Ant-Man (Scott Lang) as a global fugitive, and will deal with the aftermath of “Captain America: Civil War”. Screen Actors Guild Awards Paul Rudd will return to reprise his role as Ant-Man/Scott Lang. Also returning to reprise their “Ant-Man” roles are Golden Globe Award nominee Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, ALMA Award winner Michael Peña as Luis, and two-time Academy Award winner Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.
Saturn Award nominee Peyton Reed is returning to direct “Ant-Man and the Wasp” from a screenplay written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, based on a story by Academy Award winner Adam McKay and Paul Rudd. Lars P. Winther is 1st AD and will also co-produce with Publicists Guild of America Showmanship Award winner Kevin Feige. Executive producers are Visual Effects Society Awards winner Victoria Alonso, ATAS Foundation College Television Award recipient Stephen Broussard, three-time Hugo Awards nominee Stan Lee, and Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Charles Newirth, and Louis D’Esposito.
The 2015 “Ant-Man” film was a huge success, and grossed more than $519 million worldwide. Shooting on “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will take place at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia. Filming will run from July 6, 2017 through November 30, 2017. “Ant-Man and the Wasp” is currently in pre-production under the working title of “Cherry Blue”. “Ant-Man and the Wasp” is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 6, 2018.
