Universal Pictures 'Snow White and the Huntsman' casting and auditions information

The Universal Pictures feature film "Snow White and the Huntsman" is heading into production in August, 2011 and casting for supporting roles, day players, extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins for the films stars is underway and will continue through the end of shooting in December, 2011. The filming locations will be in in the City of Durham, UK area in North East England, in London at the Pinewood studios, and other various locations in the UK.

Rupert Sanders will direct his first film from a screenplay originally written by Evan Daugherty, which is currently in rewrites by Hossein Amini. Sanders was hired to direct "Snow White and the Huntsman" because he is a highly acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist. Sanders is known for heart-rending live-action ads for video games Halo 3 and Call of Duty, as well as the short-film adaptation of the graphic novel Black Hole. Sanders says that what he does is "create very large landscapes full of emotion".

According to producer Joe Roth, "Snow White and the Huntsman" is being planned as the first film in a trilogy. Roth told Entertainment Weekly, "It’s meant to be the first in a series of films. This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for the main three characters".

The casting director searched high and low for an unknown actor to play Snow White before Joe Roth finally decided to hire Kristen Stewart for the role. Also starring in the film is Charlize Theron as The Evil Queen, and Chris Hemsworth as Eric The Huntsman.

The extras casting director in London is seeking Caucasian Men and Women 16 years of age and above who are located near the City of Durham, UK  and fit any of the following descriptions:

• Nordic looking men and women with very blonde (almost white) long hair.
• Ugly, characterful, quirky or unusual looking men and women.
• Caucasian Men who have facial scars, facial birthmarks, cleft lip, grizzly face, cauliflower ears or broken noses.
• Very Skinny Men and Women aged 16 – 80 years old. You must be or look very Skinny and emaciated, women dress size 6 or less, men waist measurement under 28 inches.
• Women must have shoulder length or longer hair.
• Men must have collar length or longer hair.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the UK.
• Must be generally free to work between August, 2011 and December, 2011.

Story:

Snow White (Kristen Stewart), is an incredible beautiful young woman with raven hair, fair skin, and ruby red lips. Snow White's beauty is ultimately its own curse because, when she becomes the fairest in the land, she becomes a threat to her step-mother Ravenna (Charlize Theron). Snow White loves Prince Charmant (Sam Claflin), a boy of the same age who she was separated from as a teen. Snow White has been forced to live under the hard rules of Ravenna where her only friends were the animals that would come to see her. Snow White's life is turned upside down when Ravenna discovers that Snow White is about to become the fairest. She's driven from the castle and a huntsman named Eric (Chris Hemsworth) is sent to kill her. Eric is a huntsman who is haunted by the death of his wife, Sara. He was deeply in love and cannot silence the pain caused by her loss. He drinks heavily and spends his days hunting for the White Wolf that killed Sara. He is purely mercenary, taking the money Ravenna offers to bring the most beautiful maidens in the land to the castle. However, when Eric discovers that the White Wolf works for Ravenna, he escapes with Snow White to the Dark Forest and begins preparing to get his revenge while training Snow White in the art of war.
